Sunset glow -
Oh Dear! With the flooded waters gone, it's interesting to see what it left behind.
My what a stern pose. He ment busniess walking back and forth in front of me.
Quite a nice sunset. Watching the sheep, George, Frederick, and Oliver graze while Tally the goat nudges my legs testing my camera holding ability. After that I got the tripod.
Snoop is very photogenic. He knows when I was taking photos and stood really still for them... at least for a rooster anyway.
On top of the world.
That's better. I just had to wait an hour before he went back to sleep.
Yup, don't worry, I'm not getting any closer. Just eat your grass and be happy, please.
On The Lookout For Bison - Headed out to this section of property due to its "we have bison" appeal! Walked the trails for a few hours but didn't see any signs what so ever. Just as I was done for the day, back at the parking lot I see a van pull up to me to ask some questions about the bison. As I stated, no go here, and they drove off. A little down the road, I see the van pulled over and along the road side where views of the bison. If that van didn't make the stop, I think I would have driven right on by without even seeing them. Thanks to UofM employee Ashley the biologist for a great conversation about these bison and what they are doing for our land.
Giant Swallowtail Butterfly busy at work, looking for that nectar.
This little dude knows what's ahead. That's why he's clinging to a tree.
Oh, Crickets the name. Jiminy Cricket! - Just doing it's thing and making it hard for me to focus on him by hopping from leaf to leaf.
Auh, what are you looking at? Yes I'm on the ground with my face in a plant. So?
Bighorn Sheep/ Ram
as they say, busy as a bee.
I did however, have to tell him it was too late for visitors.
